Greetings in the Name of the Lord!
As my family and I’s second month here in Ellisville comes to a close I wanted to send a letter to let you know how we are getting along here in southern Mississippi.
Lily has started pre-school at Laurel Christian School and is enjoying the school and her teachers very much. She comes home each afternoon with a giant smile on her face and arms full of arts and crafts. Mackenzie also enjoys the time Lily is at school. Iain is growing bigger and bigger each day eating mom and dad out of house and home. He is already bigger than Lily and Mackenzie when they were more than 6 months old! Brandy is very happy being a stay-at-home mom and comments each day how thankful she is to not be commuting nearly 45 minutes each way anymore. The weather has also been very soothing especially when compared to the quite cold and snowy weather back in Pittsburgh. This month we also had the opportunity to do some exploring around southern Mississippi including driving around the piney woods on the east and west side of town finding all kinds of neat things along the way. A couple of weeks ago we took a trip down to the Gulf Coast, which included Lily taking a little swim in the Gulf of Mexico and Mackenzie chasing some seagulls on the beach. We really enjoy living here in Ellisville having had opportunity to meet a number of lovely people and feel very welcome in the community. We look forward to meeting more folks as we go around town.
This month has also been an exciting time for the church as we participated in the Lord’s Supper the first Sunday of the month and began our study of the Book of Amos. It has been a real blessing to be able to study this book and I hope you might find some time to read the words of the Prophet Amos and it would be a blessing to you as well.
In God’s Love,
